SkyTran has a patented personal rapid transit system in which a jet-like electric vehicle with enough space to accommodate two people are used to travel in a network of interconnected support poles made with concrete foundations by implementing magnetic levitation technology for zero-emission transport. The company plans to create a traffic-less public transport system with its technology and vehicles that will have a cruising speed of 100mph and will be arriving on demand instead of scheduled stops.
SkyTran has established two test track facilities in California and Texas to test and demo its technology.
