Founded in 2016 by Mark Groden and Mitch Adler and based in California, US, SkyRyse, Inc. operates as a provider of a flight automation technology platform for pilots. In September 2025, SkyRise, Inc. raised approximately USD 167 million in series C funding co-led by Autopilot and Fidelity Investments, with participation from Woodline Partners, Rokos Capital Management, BAM Elevate, Atreides Management, Qatar Investment Authority, Durable Capital Partners, Positive Sum, BAMCO and ArrowMark Partners.

The series C funding values SkyRyse, Inc. at USD 1. 15 billion post-money. The company offers an air mobility service as an urban transportation solution by devloping a software operating system, FlightOS, to power all general aviation (GA) aircraft, enabling safer, more capable, and more accessible flight.

FlightOS is a common interface for pilots to be able to operate any aircraft - rotorcraft or fixed-wing, with the same controls, substantially reducing pilot fatigue and complexity while offering a step function improvement in flight safety and emergency management. FlightOS replaces the complex controls in a typical cockpit with touchscreen tablets and a joystick, and its fly-by-wire hardware and software handles everything else. The technology protects the pilot from exiting the flight envelope, removes complexities of flying and safely manages the aircraft through emergencies. Pilots can learn to fly a Skyryse-equipped aircraft in minutes, instead of weeks, and the system can safely fly in zero-visibility conditions.
