Based in Sollentuna, Sweden, and founded in 1998 by co-founders Sten-Magnus Aquilonius and Christer Nyström, Sensidose AB manufactures a smart dosing device for pharmaceutical minitablets and sub-pharmaceutical units of tablets for individualized drug therapy. The firm's device helps users get the correct dose and time for taking their medications. In March 2023, Navamedic Asa, a portfolio company of Reiten & Co. Strategic Investments, agreed to fully acquire Sensidose AB for approximately SEK 75 million in cash.
The company's product line includes Myflid and Flexilev. The medical treatments use a dosing device pre-programmed for the patient that consists of tablets, each containing a low dose. The device uses an electronic dispensed program for tablet dispensing by the healthcare provider. The dispenser has a built-in alarm, delivers doses at present, and registers all doses deliver along with disease symptoms using user-friendly rating scales.
