Scope is an inspection automation company that builds deep learning vision systems using AI (artificial intelligence) and machine learning (ML) to identify line damage, check the intensity of the damaged area, find the correlation between damages, and provides required actions for resolving the damage.

In January 2022, Scope Computer Vision Technologies raised angel funding. The product line of Scope Computer Vision Technologies includes line health index, ship assist/tugboats, and utility stringing. The line health index is a scalable metric adaptable that helps operators by enabling them to realize and maintain a safety level. The ship assist/tugboats help in continuously monitoring the line health by providing instant failure analysis and expert recommendations.

The utility stringing provides information about the quality of lines, helping operators to get adequate time to address the issues. In addition, the company provides a line quality platform, build on machine learning and artificial intelligence to identify, assess, and correlate damaged areas, as well as provide required actions to resolve damages. Scope Computer Vision Technologies plans to use its proceeds from January 2022 funding to develop the product, education market around automated inspection in the utility industry. In addition, the company plans to launch scope control in spring 2022.
