Founded in 2019 by René Bohnsack and based in Lisbon, Portugal, SCOOCS, Unipessoal, LDA, dba SCOOCS, fka, iChair is an event organizing platform that employs artificial intelligence to create intuitive events for both organizers and attendees. SCOOCS stands for Smart, Customizable, Online, Offline, Communities for Sustainability. In June 2022, SCOOCS, Unipessoal, LDA raised EUR 1 million from Individual investors in the round. Some of the firm’s clients include Samsung, iSchools, the University of Michigan, Liferay, etc.

As of July 2022, SCOOCS has over 12 employees and has offices in Estonia, Germany, and Portugal (HQ). The firm provides a customizable virtual business events platform for virtual events such as video rooms, live streaming, networking tables, virtual booths, etc. The company also hosts hybrid events and offers mobile apps through which event managers can have complete access to everyone attending the events online and offline. Additionally, SCOOCS also offers tools to help customers attract, manage and convert their leads through various public events.

Furthermore, the firm conducts academic events such as career fairs, university admission days, etc that include features like poster booths, round tables, and in-built e-learning tools. SCOOCS charges €100 / month for a starter pack and €500 / month for an Experience pack. The charges for Professional services are quoted on request. The company intends to use the June 2022 funding to develop the platform further, and the process of customizing communities for the team.
