Founded in 1998 and based in Colorado, US, Safety Holdings, Inc. , doing business as SambaSafety, is a provider of driver risk management and motor vehicle records software solutions. In May 2016, ABRY Partners acquired a majority stake in Safety Holdings, Inc. from Main Street Capital Corporation, and in 2017, Safety Holdings, Inc.
acquired Vigillo. In March 2021, Safety Holdings, Inc. acquired Instructional Technologies, Inc. , a provider of online driver training and technology.
In September 2021, Stone Point Capital acquired Safety Holdings Inc. from ABRY Partners. As of February 2023, Matt Scheuing serves as the CEO of the company. SambaSafety operates two software solutions called Qorta and Volta and provides them as a service for its customers.
Qorta is a driver monitoring and risk management solution that helps fleet management companies and government agencies easily identify and address unsafe driving behaviours and take the appropriate actions to maintain the safety of their drivers and passengers. Volta is SambaSafety's insurance underwriting software that is used by insight insurance carriers to accurately price risk throughout the customer’s insurance policy lifecycle. The firm also offers Qorta University, which identifies and enrols at-risk drivers in corporate driver training courses.
