Founded in 1993 and based in Quebec, Canada, Revau, formerly know as GroupAssur Inc. , operates as a managing general agent, and provides property and casualty insurance and insurance products across Canada. In 2019, GroupAssur Inc. acquired the managing general agent division of TecAssur Specialty Insurance and in the same year, GroupAssur Inc.
also acquired TCB Underwriting Ltd. In 2020, Novacap acquired a majority stake in GroupAssur Inc. and in April 2021, GroupAssur Inc. merged with Evolution Insurance.
Revau provides specialized brokerage services to other brokers, and insurance products and services such as personal insurance, risk coverage, employee benefits, and home residential insurance to its commercial business and individual clients. The company also provides underwriting services for complex insurance policies on behalf of Canadian insurance carriers, international insurance carriers, and Lloyd's of London insurance syndicates. Revau plans to fully integrate its services with Evolution Insurance in 2022 and will operate as a separate entity until that time.
