The company was co-founded by Austin King (founder of Strata Labs), and Tyler Tarsi, and in February 2022, Recursive Research, Inc. raised USD 18 million in a venture funding round led by a new investor Pantera Capital, with participation from other investors.
The company offers restructured incentive frameworks or protocols that reinforce token liquidity, allowing decentralized autonomous organizations (DAO) to grow faster by eliminating traditional liquidity mining programs. Rift Finance's protocol creates liquidity pools by combining a governance token deployed by DAOs with ether (token) from other depositors or liquidity providers, giving double rewards or high yields to participants, while allowing DAOs to deploy their treasury tokens without giving up ownership rights. The beta product version of the Rift ecosystem includes various DAOs on the Ethereum Mainnet, including Injective, Fantom, Ramp, and Terra. Recursive Research, Inc.
will use the February 2022 funding to build out its team and the DAO community, as well as create infrastructure.
