Established in 2017 by Perrin Quarshie and Naman Srivastava, and based in New York, US, Envexergy, Inc. , d. b. a RealBlocks is the developer of an alternative investment platform that connects advisors and investors to alternative investment managers.

In January 2019, RealBlocks raised USD 3. 1 million in Seed funding led by new investor Science, with participation from Cross Culture Ventures, Morgan Creek Capital Management, Ulu Ventures, and Zelkova Ventures. And, in October 2020, it raised USD 7 million in Series A funding led by new investor Crosslink Capital, with participation from returning investor Ulu Ventures. As of January 2023, the company is led by its founder and CEO, Perrin Quarshie.

The company's blockchain-enabled platform provides full front, middle, and back-office functionality for alternative investment managers - real estate, infrastructure, private equity, and debt. It also enables investors to directly purchase an ownership interest in real estate using digital and fiat currencies and provides sponsors with an opportunity for secondary liquidity. RealBlocks' products and services include a streamlined online onboarding process, a virtual data room for digital data storage, fund integrations, secondary trading of funds, fund set up, and distribution through a global network of placement agents. The company's platform is utilized by RIAs working through the Charles Schwab, Pershing, and Fidelity Platforms.

The company plans to use part of the Series A proceeds to scale its business development and engineering teams as the company aims to meet accelerating customer demand.
