In January 2026, Shanghai STVC Group agreed to acquire a 5% minority stake in Primarius for nearly CNY 692 million. The company offers solutions across four business segments: design EDA, fab EDA, testing solutions and engineering services. Its design EDA products include universal parallel SPICE simulators, large-capacity and high-precision SPICE simulators, dual-solver fast SPICE simulators, mixed-signal simulation tools, yield-oriented design platforms, waveform viewers and hierarchical SoC design planning solutions.

Its fab EDA offerings cover advanced SPICE modeling platforms, intelligent model extraction tools, cross-platform modeling software, process and design verification platforms, parametric cell library development, and PDK verification systems. The company’s testing solutions include all-in-one semiconductor parameter analyzers and low-frequency noise measurement systems, while its engineering services provide advanced wafer testing platforms and semiconductor engineering solutions that support high-end chip R&D. Primarius generates revenue primarily through software licensing, engineering services and system integration for semiconductor design and manufacturing customers. The transaction in January 2026 will enable Primarius to continuously optimize its equity structure, strengthen its strategic synergy capabilities, and improve its corporate governance.
