Founded in 2025 and based in Shanghai, China, POPI AI is an AI animation creation platform whose core competitiveness lies in its "AI + Human" dual-drive model: users only need to provide 3–5 images to train digital characters with social attributes. The company’s founder, Ning Shaofeng, is a post-95s serial entrepreneur. In 2019, while in university, he served as COO and founded Wuhan Yingweilai with a total of over 150 million followers across the internet, annual revenue exceeding 100 million yuan, and successfully incubated top IPs such as "Dingdingmiao" with tens of millions of fans. In October 2025, POPI AI closed an Angel funding from new investor Baidu Ventures.

The platform's built-in AI Agent can automatically generate storyboards, scripts, voice-overs, videos, act as an intelligent agent for creators, analyzing user preferences in real time, optimizing content strategies, and connecting with commercial monetization.
