raised USD 62 million in series B funding led by new investor Longview Asset Management, with participation from other new investors Aperture Venture Partners, and Declaration Partners. As of 2021, the company has a laboratory at the University of California San Diego's Science Research Park's Center for Novel Therapeutics, and its services are available in veterinary clinics across the United States. PetDx offers OncoK9®, a multi-cancer early detection test that employs liquid biopsy technology and genomic analysis to help veterinarians detect cancers in dogs with a simple blood draw. OncoK9® works by allowing veterinarians to submit a blood sample of a dog to the company's laboratory, where a centrifuge is used to separate and extract cell-free DNA from the blood plasma.

The laboratory then uses next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology and proprietary bioinformatics algorithms to find cancer-related genetic changes in the cells and transmits the results to the veterinarian. PetDx plans to use the December funding to broaden the adoption of OncoK9 directly through its own commercial platform as well as through strategic distribution partnerships and to expand testing throughput at its central laboratory in San Diego.
