In June 2023, the firm raised BRL 130 million in debt financing led by International Finance Corporation. The environmental solutions company offers the fields of water and effluent treatment, waste management, environmental engineering, and equipment manufacturing for water and effluent treatment. Orizon also focuses on adding value to treated waste and providing environmental services. It operates landfills across Brazil, with an installed capacity of 56 MW of energy generation through biogas.
Additionally, it processes steel fines and is working on Latin America's first waste-to-energy plant. Some of the company’s projects include carbon credit projects which generate 3 million tons of carbon equivalent from its landfills. Also, Orizon has signed contracts with the World Bank and the Swiss government for additional such projects.
