Orbitorus

Founded in 2025 and based in Tokyo, Japan, Orbitorus operates as an aerospace company transforming satellite operations by enhancing the sustainability and capabilities of existing satellites. In February 2025, Orbitorus raised JPY 28 million in pre-seed funding led by Antler. Orbitorus repurposes satellites which traditionally considered disposable after completing their missions, to become an integral part of the future space infrastructure. By providing advanced solutions to prevent satellites from turning into space debris, the company aims to make them safer, more reliable, and reusable.

The company is dedicated to working with satellite operators and space agencies to help secure and maintain space assets by offering advanced orbital technologies that can extend satellite lifespans and ensure they contribute to long-term space infrastructure. Orbitorus’s revenue model focuses on providing satellite enhancement services, which help satellite operators reduce operational risks and costs, while also preventing space debris.   As of February 2025, the company plans to develop satellite tracking hardware, expand software platforms, pilot end of life repurposing missions, and form partnerships with satellite operators.
