In November 2021, OpenWeb Technologies Ltd. raised USD 150 million in series E funding co-led by new investor Georgian, with participation from from other new investors Lion Investment Partners and Kiri Capital. Returning investor Insight Partners, Entrée Capital.


New investors Dentsu, Harel Hertz Investment House, Samsung NEXT Ventures, and The New York Times Company Regional Media Group, along with individual and other unspecified investors also participated in the round. The Series E funding round values the company at more than USD 1 billion. The company's platform provides features to monitor and filter online comments sections. The platform can also identify anonymous users by using artificial intelligence to analyze their use of language, and by other means including their IP address and cookies.


The company's OpenWebOS experience for publishers and advertisers helps to engage their readers and build a community that brings more registrations and returns visits. OpenWeb Technologies Ltd. plans to use the Series E funding to double down on its mission and bring safer experiences to new verticals and new markets. The company also plans to expand its global presence with new offices in Canada, the Asia-Pacific China (APAC) region, and the Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) region.


The company also plans on exploring strategic acquisitions to enhance its product offerings.
