Based in Tennessee, US, and founded in 2012, North American Chassis Pool Cooperative, LLC, also known as NACPC, operates as a provider of intermodal chassis. The company was formed as a joint venture chassis pool cooperative by a group of 12 U. S. motor carriers.
In December, the company acquired Pratt Industries Intermodal Chassis and transformed it into Pratt Intermodal Chassis, LLC. As of 2021, the company is led by its President and CEO, Dave Manning. NACPC offers and leases modern chassis for US trucks and other vehicles that are equipped with LED lights, radial tires, anti-lock brake systems, and automatic tire inflation systems from ocean carriers and other chassis manufacturers. The firm operates more than 21,000 chassis in three CCM administered pools as of 2021: the Mid-South Chassis Consolidated Pool (MCCP), the Mid-West Consolidated Chassis Pool (MWCP), and the South Atlantic Consolidated Chassis Pool (SACP).
Following the acquisition, NACPC will own and manage Pratt's chassis production facility in Niles, Michigan, to meet its rigorous supply chain environment. In addition, the business intends to invest considerably in optimizing plant operations and increasing production capacity to 7,000 chassis by 2022.
