Based in Canada, and founded in 2020, Nord Quantique operates as a quantum computing technology company. The company was founded by Philippe St-Jean, Ph. D. , and Julien Camirand Lemyre, Ph.

D. who is also the CEO as a spinoff from the Institut Quantique. In May 2026, Nord Quantique raised USD 30 million in venture funding from Fidelity Investments, Panache Ventures, Presidio Ventures, Quantacet, BDC Capital, Quantonation, and Real Ventures. Nord Quantique develops superconducting circuits and quantum processors that use bosonic codes (a larger encoding space that prevents noisy interactions) to reduce errors on each individual qubit and paves the way for more fault-tolerant quantum computing.

Nord Quantique generates and is expected to generate revenue through the development and commercialization of quantum computing hardware, quantum computing systems, and related intellectual property. Future revenue streams may include sales of fault-tolerant quantum computing platforms, government and defense-supported quantum computing programs, research collaborations, technology licensing, and commercial partnerships.
