About

Based in Canada, and founded in 2020, Nord Quantique operates as a quantum computing technology company. The company was founded by Philippe St-Jean, Ph. D. , and Julien Camirand Lemyre, Ph.

D. as a spinoff from the Institut Quantique. In May 2026, Nord Quantique raised USD 30 million in venture funding from Fidelity Investments, Panache Ventures, Presidio Ventures, Quantacet, BDC Capital, Quantonation, and Real Ventures. Nord Quantique develops superconducting circuits and quantum processors that use bosonic codes (a larger encoding space that prevents noisy interactions) to reduce errors on each individual qubit and paves the way for more fault-tolerant quantum computing.

The company plans to utilize the May 2026 funding to advance its strategy for reaching fault-tolerant quantum computing by 2030.
