Based in Malaga, Spain, and founded in 2020 by Chris Starkey, and Antony Wade, NexGen Cloud Limited, provides budget-friendly cloud computing solutions. In March 2022, NexGen Cloud Limited raised USD 14 million in venture funding from new investor DARMA Capital. NexGen Cloud is an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) provider, supporting companies with GPU Cloud power from Graphics Processing Units to facilitate high-intensity virtual workstations by providing extra cloud space at much cheaper prices than its competitors. Additionally, the firm offers hardware assets that can support a wide range of GPU-intensive cloud workloads, including AI, rendering, machine learning, and medical research.
The company intends to use the March 2022 funding for the development of two large-scale Filecoin storage operations in Belgium and the Netherlands, with tier III data centers across both sites.
