Navitas is a producer of GaN ICs that enables product developers to create small, light, fast, and green power conversion and power management solutions. Navitas’ customers include Lenovo Group Ltd.

, LG Electronics Inc. , Dell Technologies Inc. , and Xiaomi Corp. In January 2020, Navitas Semiconductor Inc.

raised USD 7 million in series B funding from new investor Mesh Ventures. In 2021, Live Oak Acquisition Corp II, a SPAC company acquired Navitas Semiconductor Inc resulting in a merger between the SPAC and Navitas Semiconductor Inc. The transaction includes a PIPE investment of USD 145 million at USD 10. 00 per share while the funding values Navitas at USD 1.

4 billion post-money. The company’s product is GaN Power ICs (integrated circuits), a wide bandgap semiconductor material with which is 100x faster than traditional material, Silicon (Si). Gallium nitride power IC monolithically integrates GaN power (FET) and GaN drive plus control and protection in a single SMT package, known as GaNFast™ power ICs. GaNFast ICs that enables energy efficiency, integration, and power density in application ranging from fast chargers for smartphones, laptops, tablets, to TVs, LED lighting, monitor, solar, data centers, electric vehicles, eMobility, and energy generation from renewables.

Navitas’ AllGaN™ process design kit uses GaN’s lateral structure to enable the monolithic integration of power FETs, drivers, and logic into a single IC. Post its merger with Live Oak Acquisition Corp II, the company plans on becoming a publicly listed company. The company plans on utilizing the funding raised in 2021 to accelerate product development and expansion into power semi markets, from mobile and consumer markets into even more power-intensive applications like data centers, solar energy, and electric vehicle.
