Founded in 2016 in Sri Lanka by Sanjeewa Pathirana, Nanosoft specializes in digital banking solutions for co-operative banks. The current CEO is Sanjeewa Pathirana. In July 2025, Nanosoft raised an undisclosed amount of venture funding from new investor nVentures.

Nanosoft specializes in digital banking solutions tailored specifically for co-operative banks through its flagship product, Smart COOP. This comprehensive suite includes a core banking platform, a mobile banking application, and a field app for banking operations, serving a client base of over 500 co-operatives and reaching more than 1. 5 million members across Sri Lanka and Singapore. The revenue model of Nanosoft relies on partnerships and subscription fees with co-operative banks using their digital solutions.

Clients incur costs for setup, configuration, and training services, with ongoing revenue generated from support and maintenance agreements post-implementation. The company will use the July 2025 funding to write early-stage cheques, support portfolio companies with commercial partnerships and product validation, and attract follow-on investors to scale Sri Lankan startups globally.
