Established in 1985 by J. Tylee Wilson and R. J. Reynolds, and based in New Jersey, US, Nabisco Holdings Corporation, formerly RJR Nabisco, Inc.

J. Reynolds Industries, Inc. a company specializing in tobacco and food products merged with Nabisco Brands, Inc. , a manufacturer of snack foods to form RJR Nabisco, Inc.
RJR Nabisco was a publicly listed company until 1989 when it was acquired by KKR. In 1999, Nabisco spun off its tobacco business, R. J. Reynolds to Japan Tobacco, and RJR Nabisco was renamed Nabisco Holdings Corporation which is owned by Mondelez International Inc.
The company's products include biscuits, snacks, and grocery products including fig newtons, Nabisco wafers, Anola wafers, Ritz crackers, animal crackers, Oreo cookies, and chocolate wafers. In June 2005, Apollo Global Management acquired Borden Chemicals from Kohlberg Kravis Roberts allowing the firm to exit its investment in RJR Nabisco. The company's products include biscuits, snacks, and grocery products including fig newtons, Nabisco wafers, Anola wafers, Ritz crackers, animal crackers, Oreo cookies, and chocolate wafers. As of 2005, the company was formerly known as Kraft Foods Global, Inc.
