Based in Beijing, China and founded in 2020, MU16 operates as a manufacturer of lifestyle utensils, specializing in the production of crystal glassware. The first series products was launched in January 2022, and the company also established a flagship store on Tmall. In December 2021, the company raised an undisclosed amount in angel funding from new investor Zen Investment. The types of the cups can be categorized into five types which are wine, whiskey, champagne, cognac, and drinking cup.

The company also launched a number of standard product unit (SPU) series such as Flamingo series, Eros series, Candy series, Yao series and Star series, totaling nearly 40 stock keeping units (SKUs). The company's vessels are made of lead-free crystal as well as using a 100% manual blowing and cutting process. The company has already launched three major collections, including Glassware, a line of wine and glassware, Designer+, which focuses on artist and brand co-branded models, and Lifestyle, a new category of crystal glass.
