V. operates a payments platform that offers an easy-to-implement process for integrating payments into its user's site or app. In June 2021, the firm raised EUR 655 million in Series C funding led by investor Blackstone Group, with participation from other investors Alkeon Capital Management, EQT, General Atlantic, and HMI Capital LLC.

Returning investor TCV also participated in the round.  As well as, in October 2021, Billie GmbH raised USD 100 million in Series C funding led by investor Dawn Capital, with participation from other investors Klarna Bank AB, Tencent Investment, and Mollie B. V. Returning investors Creandum, Global Founders Capital, Picus Capital, Avala, Rocket Internet, HS Investments and Speedinvest also participated in the round.

The Series C funding values Billie GmbH at USD 747. 90 million post-money. The company's SaaS (software-as-a-service)-based platform provides e-commerce businesses with various online payment integration solutions for customers. One-click payments, fraud monitoring, multicurrency payments, daily settlement management, and real-time accounting are all aspects of the company's software, which allows companies to connect, protect, and develop effectively.

Mollie earns revenue through its Pay‑as‑you‑go and Pro (EUR 20 per month) subscription plans, plus transaction fees, hardware sales, and payout charges.
