Based in Iowa, US, and founded in 1982 by Paul Korver and its CEO, Nat Geissel, MedTec LLC, trading under the name CIVCO Radiotherapy, operates as a developer and manufacturer of radiotherapy solutions to diagnose and treat cancer. In October 2021, Blue Wolf Capital Partners agreed to acquire MedTec LLC from Roper Technologies, Inc. for USD 120 million in cash. CIVCO Radiotherapy employs 115 individuals globally as of November 2021, with offices in Coralville (Corporate) and Orange City (Global Sales & Operations) in Iowa.
The CIVCO Radiotherapy product line includes advanced patient immobilization and positioning hardware and consumables, fiducial markers, couch tops and overlays, software, patient care products, and advanced 6DOF robotic patient positioning. Following the merger, MedTec LLC will be able to increase its position in the radiation market.
