Based in Chungcheongnam-do, South Korea, and founded in 2020 by co-founders Professor Aram Kim and Sehwan Kim, Medithings operates as a manufacturer of wearable IoBT bladder monitoring devices and artificial intelligence (AI) platforms. In June 2024, Medithings raised an undisclosed amount in series A funding from new investors Huons Global, InterVest, and DT&Investment. Medithings develops a near-infrared-based wearable bladder monitoring device for neurogenic bladder patients that measure the amount of urine in the bladder using near-infrared rays that are harmless to the human body and then transmits the information to the mobile phone and monitors of the patient, guardian, and medical staff. The devices use artificial intelligence technologies to detect early signs of bladder-related diseases.
The company plans to establish a US corporation and conduct clinical research with US universities. The personalized urination management platform will also be upgraded.
