Founded in 2023 and based in Shanghai, China, Shanghai Ling Universe Technology Development Co. , Ltd. , trading under the name Ling or Spiritual Universe, focuses on AI-enabled consumer devices and interaction operating systems for household and personal scenarios. The company builds on its founder’s prior experience in AI hardware and human-computer interaction to develop a relationship-based interaction model and multi-modal AI agents.

In November 2025, Ling raised CNY 200 million in pre-series A funding from new investors Guofang Fund Management, Guotai Haitong, GF Xinde Investment and others. The company works with household and individual consumers to provide AI-powered handheld devices, companion-style robotic terminals and the LingOS interaction operating system. Its offerings integrate multi-modal perception, on-device AI agents and cloud connectivity to support learning, entertainment and everyday assistance and are complemented by a developer platform and content ecosystem.
