Based in Shanghai, China, and founded in 2019 by CEO and founder Yizhe Wang, LianBio operates as a pharmaceutical company that provides research and development of new drugs for the treatment of cardiology and oncology. In October 2020, LianBio raised USD 310 million in venture funding co-led by CMGSDIC Capital, RA Capital, and Venrock Healthcare Capital Partners, with participation from BlackRock, Casdin Capital, Farallon Capital Management, Logos Capital, Pfizer, Inc. , Sphera Funds Management, T. Rowe Price, Tybourne Capital Management, Vida Ventures, Viking Global Investors, and Wellington Management.


As of November 2021, LianBio raised USD 325 million in an IPO under the ticker symbol LIAN. LianBio offers cardiology, pulmonary medicine, ophthalmology, and inflammatory disorders medicine. In addition, the company develops mavacamten for treating obstructive and non-obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and heart failure with preserved ejection fraction. LianBio also develops other treatments, including TP-03, NBTXR3, Infigratinib, BBP-398, Omilancor, NH-13, LYR-210 and Sisunatovir.


TP-03 is used for the treatment of Demodex blepharitis while NBTXR3 is used for the treatment of neck and head squamous cell carcinoma, and solid tumor IO combinations. In addition, Infigratinib is used for the treatment of first- and second-line cholangiocarcinoma and gastric while BBP-398 is used for the treatment of solid tumors. NH-13 is used for the treatment of ulcerative colitis, Omnilancor for treatment of Crohn's and ulcerative diseases, Sisunatovir for the treatment of respiratory syncytial virus and LYR-210 for chronic rhinosinusitis. LianBio will use the funding in establishing an international infrastructure to position the company and provide access to China and other Asian markets.
