Founded in 1946, chaired by Danai Brooks as CEO and based in New Jersey, US, Komline-Sanderson Corporation is a provider of equipments for applications including process/production filtration, drying, thermal processing, wastewater treatment, sludge processing, and pollution control. The company serves a diverse group of customers worldwide including municipal wastewater and electric power utilities, and industrial manufacturers of chemicals, pharmaceuticals, plastics (polymers), food processors, petrochemicals, petroleum refiners, and pulp and paper mills among others. K-S has a 120,000 square feet of manufacturing facility in New Jersey with over 180 units. In 2021, Ronin Equity Partners, Sunny River Management, and Satori Capital acquired a minority stake in Komline-Sanderson Corporation.


In 2021, K-S acquired Illinois-based Barnes International, Inc. , a manufacturer of coolant filtration equipment, Florida-based Harn R/O Systems, Inc. , a producer of reverse osmosis, nanofiltration, and low-pressure membrane treatment systems, and South-Carolina based Haselden Company, Inc. an engineering design and installation business of waste-reduction systems.


As of 2021, the company staffs 120 employees. The company’s technologies include process applications such as clarification, filtration, cake washing, drying, heating, cooling, and atomization; environmental applications such as wastewater clarification, sludge dewatering, sludge thickening, pumping, and drying; and water treatment plans. K-S’s product portfolio includes rotary drum vacuum filters, horizontal vacuum filters, dissolved air flotation units, gravity belt thickeners, and belt filter presses for liquid-solid separation; paddle dryers, paddle processors, and paddle heaters/coolers for thermal processing; and rotary atomizers for spray drying. Post its acquisitions, Komline Sanderson Corporation plans to expand its product and service offerings, manufacturing capacity, and geographic reach.


Post its acquisition of Barnes, the company plans on expanding its filtration offerings to include those used by automotive, aerospace, and industrial products manufacturers.
