Based in Gelderland, Netherlands, and founded in 2014 by co-founders Marc Schoutens and Carlo van Herwaarden, Kentaa provides a comprehensive and user-friendly platform for charities, social causes, and other initiatives seeking to raise funds. In June 2022, iRaiser, a portfolio company of Impact Partners, Generis Capital & Oltre Venture, agreed to acquire Kentaa. The transaction is expected to be completed in July 2022. Kentaa offers a platform that allows organisations to set up crowdfunding campaigns, host fundraising events, and use tools for action-based sponsorship.

Additionally, the company offers tools that enable organisations to communicate with donors and supporters. The platform also provides customisable email templates, which can be rewritten to match the tone and branding of the organisation, ensuring that communication remains consistent and personalized. Kentaa’s premium offerings include custom domain names, multilingual support, match funding, direct payment processing, and personalised guidance for non-profits or those with specific needs.
