Founded in 2014 and based in Hefei, China, Kemi Instrument focuses on providing state-of-the-art synthesis equipment for medium and small-scale chemical processes. In August 2015, Kemi Instrument closed a Series B funding from new investor Chuangjing Capital. Kemi Instrument specializes in the research, development, and manufacturing of advanced synthesis equipment primarily aimed at medium and small-scale chemical processes. Their core product offerings include high-pressure reactors, hydrothermal reactors, fixed-bed reactors, and high-throughput photocatalytic reactors, all designed to facilitate various scientific and industrial applications.

The company generated revenue through researching, selling and exporting products to foreign markets such as Europe, America, Australia, and the Middle East, serving domestic and international research and corporate clients.   The funding raised in August 2025 will be mainly used for the company's scientific research instruments and equipment, small and medium-sized pilot and industrial synthetic reaction equipment, continuous flow technology updates and iterations, as well as global business expansion.
