Based in Switzerland, and founded in 2022 by its CEO Andreas Brenner and CTO Marvin Gabler, Jua.ai AG operates as an artificial intelligence climate company that provides insights and research for weather forecasting. In October 2022, Promus Ventures led a USD 2.5 million in pre-seed funding for Jua.ai AG, with participation from the Session.VC. As of October 2022, the company has hubs in Zurich, Berlin, and Cape Town. Jua.ai AG develops an AI-based platform designed for weather and climate predictions that can be made about small, precise areas and for short windows of time. The company model predicts more than fifteen different weather-based parameters, including precipitation, air pressure, wind speed, and wind direction. In addition, the company platform contains weather and geospatial data sets and includes a training infrastructure that enables non-technical users to customize their models with proprietary data. The company intends to use the pre-seed funding in expanding its business reach and provide startups, companies, government institutions, and researchers the ability to create purpose-built weather models. The company also plans to grow its team to 15 people.
