Founded in 2021 by Josh Benaron (CEO), and based in London, UK, BN Labs Ltd, trading under the name Irys is a blockchain data as a service-based technology company that provides a decentralized platform for storing data on web3. In August 2025, Irys raised GBP 7. 41 million in series A funding led by new investor CoinFund Management, with participation from other new investors Tykhe Block Ventures, Varrock, Breed VC, Echo Capital Group, Amber Group, and WAGMI Ventures. Returning investor Hypersphere Ventures also participated in the round.
The company offers a multi-chain solution for Arweave to decentralize data storage on Web3 platforms and offer permanent data storage across multiple nodes. The company will use the August 2025 funding to support the further development of its infrastructures and partnerships.
