The company was founded by its CEO Clint Reid, along with Daniel Johnson. Mr. Reid also served as an international account executive at a worldwide shipping company.

In February 2018, the company officially rebranded from iGlobal to become Zonos. In September 2021, Zonos raised its latest USD 69 million Series A funding from a group of investors that includes Silversmith Capital Partners, along with various individual investors. It currently employs more than 100 employees. The company offers various application integration and cross-border software that helps in managing data such as customs, laws, fees, duty, and tax.

It also offers Zonos Landed Cost, a solution that allows the users to sell and calculate duty, taxes, and other fees in the international market; Zonos International Checkout, a cross-border software that focuses on global payments with fraud coverage. denied party screenings, shipment rating for the carrier, localized checkout fields, and restrictions; Zonos Quoter, an online solution that quotes various duty and tax and analyzes historical quotes; Classify, an automated HS Code classifier that analyzes catalog with keywords or an image; and Zonos Hello, a solution that provides estimated duties and taxes for online purchases. The company plans to use the latest Series A funding to key business areas such as product development, go-to-market, and worldwide team expansion.
