Hilen

Founded in 2021 and based in Beijing, China, Hilen provides underwater sensing and acoustic equipment to research institutes, universities, and marine engineering clients. The founding team has over two decades of industry experience and has led several national-level research projects. In March 2023, the company established a wholly owned subsidiary, Hainan Deep Blue Marine Technology, in Sanya. In April 2025, it partnered with Harbin Engineering University to launch a joint laboratory focused on deep-sea intelligent sensing.

In July 2025, the company closed a series A funding round. The company provides acoustic transducers, including active, passive, vector, wideband, low-frequency deep-sea and high-frequency array types. Hilen generates revenue by supplying acoustic sensor products and providing engineering solutions to research institutions, universities and industrial clients. The company plans to expand its sensor product categories horizontally and vertically enhance its integrated system capabilities, aiming to serve broader marine industries such as environmental monitoring, resource exploration and smart ocean equipment.
