Based in Suzhou, China and founded in 2013, Jiangsu Haipu Functional Materials Co. , Ltd. , trading as HAIPU, is a national high-tech enterprise specializing in separation and purification, synthetic carrier-type new materials, and intelligent systems for energy metals, medical health, resources, and environmental protection industries. In February 2026, HAIPU raised approximately CNY 100 million in Series B+ funding led by Huatai Zijin Investment, with participation from Honest Capital.

The company develops multiple solutions and intelligent systems in metal extraction and purification, biosynthesis carriers, and resource recycling. These solutions are applicable to over a hundred application scenarios and are widely used in industries such as lithium extraction from salt lakes, lithium extraction from oil and gas field brine, purification of lithium battery recovery feed solutions, purification of lithium salts from ores, metal extraction and purification in hydrometallurgy, peptide solid-phase synthesis carriers, enzyme immobilization carriers, nuclear feed solution impurity removal and harmlessness, environmental resource utilization, and high-purity solvent purification. The company generates revenue by doing R&D, and providing green functional materials and solutions. The Series B+ funding raised in February 2026 will be used to accelerate its layout in the life sciences and new energy industries.

Following this round of financing, the company will focus on advancing two major strategic directions: Firstly, it will focus on tackling key R&D challenges, continuously increasing the transformation of R&D results, and concentrating on technological breakthroughs in high-end products such as high-performance adsorbents, high-resolution chromatography packing materials, and special separation membranes. Secondly, it will focus on improving operational efficiency and capacity building, providing solid support for global market expansion, high-end production line construction, and capacity enhancement, accelerating the efficient transformation of "technology-product-market".
