Based in Hebei, China, and founded in 1990. GWM operates as an SUV and pickup manufacturer. Its overseas R&D centers have been set up in Japan, the United States, Germany, India, Austria, and South Korea. As of 2022, it has more than 59,000 employees. In December 2020, it released the 331 Strategy for intelligence driving. Its Russia Tula HAVAL factory has been put into production in 2019. It was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2003 and the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2011.
The company has partnerships with Continental, Bosch, Webasto, Ricardo, BorgWarner, ZF, and Hella. The company owns four brands, which are HAVAL, WEY, ORA, and GWM Pickup. Its products can be categorized into SUVs, passenger cars, and pickup. It has 500 networks in over 60 countries and sells a total of 700,000 vehicles overseas.
