Based in Hangzhou, China, and established in 2022, Greptime is a big data provider that provides solutions for storage, computing, and analysis of time sequence data. Xiaodan Zhuang, the company's CEO, worked in Ant Group and developed large-scale time sequence data platforms and intelligent operation AIOps platform. Ning Sun, and Jiachun Feng, the company's CTO, worked in Didi Dache, and Ant Group, respectively. It has a branch in Beijing.

It has and partnership with the State Grid of China. In August 2024, it closed a strategic investment. The company's business is providing open source time series database solutions and services. The company's self-developed products, Greptime DB and Greptime Cloud, are designed to address large-scale time series data processing and analysis in industries such as finance, the Internet of Things (IoT) and the connected car ecosystem, while Greptime Cloud Greptime DB is a distributed, high-performance, storage-computation separated cloud-native time series database and Greptime Cloud is a fully managed database service system based on Greptime DB.
