GRA Inc.

Based in Miyagi, Japan, established in 2012, GRA started strawberry reconstruction support in Yamamoto Town the year before in 2011, due to the devastation of the Great East Japan Earthquake. The following year, GRA Inc. was established as an agricultural production corporation and completed 2 advanced farms in the same year. In 2014, GRA started the GRA Agri Platform.

In 2015, opened ICHIGO WORLD (year-round cultivation house) and began export to Taiwan and Singapore. In 2016 it started training its first generation farmers of Strawberry Academy. In late 2017, GRA developed and released Migaki Strawberry Confiture in collaboration with Salz and started selling rich strawberry liquor in collaboration with Niizawa Brewery. Migaki-Ichigo is a unified brand of high-quality multiple varieties of strawberries cultivated in Yamamoto Town, Miyagi Prefecture.

It is sold at department stores in the Tokyo metropolitan area and Miyagi prefecture, as well as at Japan Post catalog sales, Yahoo! Shopping, and Rakuten Ichiba online stores. Migaki-Ichigo Musu is a purely domestic sparkling wine that uses 100% Migaki strawberries. Migaki-Ichigo Canet is a canned sparkling wine.

GRA also sells high-tech organic skin care (cosmetics) containing "white strawberry extract". GRA conducts tours of the advanced farm "ICHIGO WORLD" so that many people can feel closer to agriculture and get to know it more deeply. A cultivation area, a shelf for raising seedlings, and a computer room to control these environments are installed in the large site, and the temperature and sunshine hours in the house are also controlled by utilizing the latest ICT (Information and Communication Technology). The Migaki Strawberry House has been opened to the public and strawberry picking is underway.

Guests can visit the strawberry farm, which is full of cleanliness and openness. Strawberries are cultivated at a height of about 1m from the ground called "elevated cultivation", so guests can enjoy strawberry picking while standing without bending. In addition, strollers and wheelchairs can enter with peace of mind (some are not barrier-free). At the "Large-scale Facility Horticultural Demonstration Research Facility", GRA is conducting "Advanced Technology Development Project for Revitalization of Food Production Areas (2012-2017)" through a consortium of the Reconstruction Agency / Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries project research.
