Greater Ohio Ethanol (“GOE”) was formed to independently develop and operate ethanol manufacturing facilities throughout Ohio and surrounding states to serve the nation’s emerging demand for ethanol as a motor fuel and fuel additive. Ethanol is a demonstrably sustainable energy resource that offers long-term environmental and economic advantages for the United States. As a domestic, renewable source of energy, ethanol reduces the nation’s dependence on foreign oil and increases the availability of domestic fuel supplies. GOE’s first ethanol manufacturing site is located in Lima, Ohio.
