Based in Austin, US, and founded in 2021, Friktion Labs develops decentralized finance (DeFi) portfolio management platform designed for sustainable and smart investing. Uddhav Marwaha is the co-founder and CEO of the company. In January 2022, Friktion Labs raised USD 5. 5 million in venture funding from Castle Island Ventures, DeFiance Capital, Delphi Ventures, Dialectic AG, Jump Crypto, Libertus Capital, Pillar Companies, Sino Global Capital, Petrock Capital, Solana Ventures, and Tribe Capital.

The company's products include income generation, volatility yield, and hedge impermanent loss. Friktion is DeFi's first full-stack portfolio manager which is growing at an unprecedented rate, creating thousands of new projects, assets, and communities, where an average existing DeFi user chases yield, largely in units of a native token, while taking on various risks. The firm provides Circuits into the DeFi ecosystem, offering both active and passive portfolio management strategies for DAOs and traditional institutional asset managers.
