Based in Rhode Island, US, and founded in 2018 by its CEO, Benjamin Sorkin, and co-founders Daylin Frantin and Jonathan Lord, Flux Marine operates as a developer of all-electric outboard motors and battery systems for watercraft. In November 2025, Flux Marine raised USD 15 million in venture funding from Collide Capital. Flux Marine develops electric outboard motors and battery systems that deliver power and reliability while eliminating the CO2 emissions and pollution that plague gasoline and diesel-powered boats. The company boasts a lineup of 15HP, 40HP, 70HP, and 100HP electric outboard models with various boat packages such as inflatable, dual console, and performance RIB.

The company will use the funding from November 2025 to improve production of its electric outboard motors and powertrain systems and move toward large scale manufacturing.
