The firm technology uses natural underwater pressure to power reverse osmosis, which lowers energy use and cuts operating costs. The solution is ideal for municipalities, farms, and industries in water-scarce areas, especially islands and coastal communities. Flocean markets its technology with water shortages and long shorelines, focusing on areas in need of sustainable freshwater solutions to improve water security and reliability.
The company plans to use the November 2025 funding to launch and operate Flocean One in 2026, expand its team, and develop large-scale desalination projects across Europe, the Middle East, the Americas, and island nations.
