Based in Singapore and established in 2020 by Vinita Choolani, who is also the company's chief executive officer, Float Foods Pte Ltd. is a food technology company that provides plant-based eggs. In June 2021, Float Foods Pte Ltd. received investment led by Insignia Ventures Partners and DSG Consumer Partners.
The company's flagship product OnlyEg is a plant-based whole egg substitute that is made out of legume proteins. These will be offered for sale as two distinct components, egg yolks, and egg whites. Float Foods develops a substitute for chicken eggs to lower the gas emissions of dairy companies. Following the investment in June 2021, Float Foods Pte Ltd.
will partner with its investors to support its research and development, as well as to facilitate the commercialization of the company's flagship product OnlyEg. The product is expected to be launched to the markets in Singapore next year. As of 2021, the company is also working on plant-based ‘egg’ patties and shreds, which will be available to consumers later this year.
