Based in Paris, France, and founded in 1990, FircoSoft operates as a software company that allows financial institutions and corporates to filter financial transactions against sanctions and watch lists to ensure compliance with existing regulations while meeting Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements. In May 2011, Edmond de Rothschild Investment Partners and Rothschild Proprietary Investments, along with management acquired FircoSoft. Keensight Capital also invested in this deal. In September 2014, FircoSoft was acquired by Reed Elsevier.
The company provides Firco Filtering Suite, an integrated watch list filtering solution that keeps financial institutions ahead of risks and regulation by combining Firco Continuity, Firco Trust, and Firco List Service. FircoSoft also offers an STP Factory solution for automatically repairing payment messages. In addition, the firm also provides Firco Preferred Routing, which is a solution that monitors funds transfer systems to identify the preferred route for cross-border payments to optimize international payment strategies and reduce costs.
