Founded in 2022 and based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Fidu, provides an operating system for schools in Latin America. In October 2022, Lightspeed Venture Partners and NFX co-led USD 5 million in seed funding for Fidu, with participation from Broom Ventures and Imaginable Futures. Fidu develops and offers education software that helps with the digitalization of schools by providing education institutions administrators and students a suite of automation solutions to handle payment, financial works, communication with families, and more tasks.
The software offers customized applications and user interfaces for administrators, teachers, students, and parents, to manage tuition payments, establish communication channels with parents and students, offer loan policies, and perform learning/academic management by digitalizing student records.
