Farmology

Based in West Bengal, India, and founded in 2018 by CEO Anup Ganguly, CTO Akash Chandrakar, and CFO Subrata Ganguly, Surobhi Agro Industries Private Limited, d. b. a. Farmology operates as an agri-tech company that provides a tech-enabled platform to assist farmers throughout the full farming process and better understand crop health and protection.

In July 2023, Farmology raised seed funding led by iAngels. The company provides crop advisory services and patented agri-inputs to small and medium farmers using technologies like AI (artificial intelligence) and ML (machine learning), satellite imagery, image recognition, and IoT through a farmer-friendly Android app. Farmology’s agri-tech platform brings patented agri-inputs and digital crop advisory with a farmer-centric approach to help farmers increase their output. In addition, the firm offers a mobile application that helps in detecting pests and diseases on crops, soil testing, home delivery of patented agri-inputs, and monitoring crops’ performance throughout the season for maximum productivity.

The company plans to use its proceeds from July 2023 funding to improve the platform, enhance the customer experience, and build a larger stack of wellness services on the platform.
