Founded in 2018 by Alberto Mian (CEO), Olivier Bucheli, Daniel Favrat, and Samuel Henchoz (CTO), and based in Switzerland, ExerGo SA operates as a cleantech provider of renewable resources and waste heat for cooling solutions to cities and communities. In February 2026, Exergo SA raised an undisclosed amount of venture funding from Engie New Ventures and EREN. The company converts carbon dioxide into a dense, low-temperature fluid and uses waste heat to turn it into sustainable energy networks that are more efficient than conventional fossil-fuel and water-based systems. Additionally, the company offers consultation, engineering, procurement, construction and monitoring, and maintenance services.
The company will use the February 2026 funding to support its development of district heating and cooling network technology using carbon dioxide as a low-temperature energy carrier.
