Founded in 2007 and based in Bnei Brak, Israel, eToro Group Limited, aka eToro provides an online social trading platform that allows users to trade currencies, commodities, and indices. David Ring, Ronen Assia, and CEO Yoni Assia are the co-founders of the company. In August 2026, eToro group, a portfolio company of BRM Group, Spark Capital, Commerzbank, Social Leverage Capital, Anthemis, Hinge Capital, Korea Investment Partners, SBT Venture Capital, SB Investment Advisers, and Velvet Sea Ventures, agreed to acquire TradeZero America Inc. for USD 231 million consisting of cash and up to 2.
5 million newly issued Class A common shares of the Company, subject to certain customary purchase price adjustments. The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to be completed during the first half of 2027. The company provides a social trading platform offering a range of trading and investment tools. It enables registered users to interact and gain from each other's experience, manage their capital online, and create a portfolio with cryptocurrencies, stocks, commodities, etc.
The firm's DeFi portfolio offers investors instant diversification into several key DeFi crypto-assets. Following the acquisition of August 2026, the acquisition enables eToro to strengthen its U. S. presence by adding TradeZero’s broker-dealer infrastructure, active trader base, trading technology, and access to the Canadian market.
