Based in Bristol, UK, and founded in 2022, EnsiliTech operates as a biotechnology firm that offers technology that enables vaccines to be kept and transported without the requirement for cold chain infrastructure. The company was Co-founded by Asel Sartbaeva (CEO), Aswin Doekhie (CTO), and others. In August 2025, EnsiliTech raised GBP 4. 5 million in seed funding co-led by new investor Eos and returning investor Calculus Capital, with participation from other new investors Angel Investors Bristol, chANGELS, Empirical Ventures, HERmesa, and Penn Park Capital.

Returning investors, Fink Family Foundation, QantX and individual investors also participated in the round. The technology offered by the firm named ensilication technology stops the growth of protective silica nanoshells on the surface of vaccine components. It prevents degradation which leads to vaccine spoilage. If this technology is applied to the vaccine, then it doesn’t need to be stored and transported in cold storage infrastructure.

The technology can be used for antibodies, vaccines, and anti-microbial resistance and it helps in reducing wastage and enhancing accessibility to vaccinations globally. The company will use the August 2025 funding for its manufacturing infrastructure and team growth.
