Based in Copenhagen, Denmark, and founded in 2022 by David Svante Hansen (CEO), Embankment operates as a fintech company that provides a cloud-based portfolio and credit services platform. In December 2025, Embankment raised EUR 15 million in series A funding by Smedvig Ventures and BlackFin Capital Partner. Embankment offers a range of various fund services that leverage advanced technology and deep industry expertise to maintain complex financial operations. The company’s offerings are designed to support private equity and investment firms, enabling fund administration and management.

Its services include portfolio monitoring, investor reporting, compliance management, and data analytics, which improve operations for end users. In addition,  the firm serves various clients such as institutional investors, private equity firms, and venture capital funds in key markets including Europe, North America, and Asia. The company plans to use the December 2025 funding to build out its fund administration software, open and staff its new Luxembourg office, and support expansion across European markets.
